I've been fighting a series of sinus infections intertwined with allergies added to my normal dizzying array of intestinal problems that I've had for years.
I normally consider these problems to be rather insignificant because, in the whole scheme of things, they're pretty small. The intestinal problems I may battle my entire life, but I've learned to deal with them relatively well. Most folks think I'm just a very picky eater, but I'm really just trying to alleviate unfriendly pains and "difficult" trips to the restroom.
Tonight, about 30 minutes after I took a new medication, my heart rate jumped about 30 beats a minute, I started sweating, and I started having chest pains. Naturally...I was a bit concerned, so I called the after-hours nurse. She advised me to take an antacid to try and relieve the chest pain, then wait half an hour, see if the pain and increased heart rate. If the symptoms persisted, I should go to the emergency room, otherwise, wait until tomorrow and contact the office.
Luckily, my heart rate decreased and the chest pains subsided. Interestingly enough, when the nurse called back to check on me, she informed me that antacids were the exact wrong thing for me to have taken. The antacids neutralize the medication, which may have helped the heart rate and chest pains, but now what I took will not work as expected.
Glad that you're ok! Also, just in case something like that happens again, make sure to ask someone to check up on you, just in case something bad DOES happen.
Also...Daniel recommends MucinexD for the sinus stuff. You can only get the decongestant version over the counter, just ask the pharmacist.
Wow! I had no idea. I got instestinal issues too, but usually not involving "difficult trips." More like mine is an over-achiever and lets me eat however much I want and not gain weight. Yes, it has some medicinal name but I forget... Also, interesting you end the "difficult bathroom trips" post with the word "pooped"...
If you all would, please take some time this week, next week, and so on and say a quick prayer for all the folks that have lost their jobs in this mess that's currently taking place.
Since it's hitting all of these companies at once, it's making it much more difficult for people to find work once they've been let go. While it's been expected for quite some time, the increase in layoffs that will take place in the coming year will not quite be the "Happy New Years" gift people will appreciate.
ha...fun tree! I don't get to put one up at all this year because I'm in the process of moving. And, I like the weather! ...at least that mom was trying to keep her kid "safe". :)
"I got the guitar and just started running towards them with it," said Mendy.
This story also coincides with the idea of the nativity scene in the baptistry area and toting my digital piano in during the Sunday night singing so we can gather 'round and sing those Christmas jingles.
