Do you remember anything fun you did for Thanksgiving when you were in school...a fun project, art project or activity. Tell me about it and your memories.


adamandjessesdad	Papier maché turkeys in 4th grade... but you probably don't want to get into that!
spimman	Paper indian feather headbands and some food
mother_hen	Sammy and Melissa dressed up and the whole class had a 'feast'. I remember the Indians wore vests made from paper grocery sacks. The girls, I think, wore bonnets. If I find a picture I will let you know. I don't remember what they ate -- probably cookies and punch and stuff (is that allowed any more?) and they just spread out cloths on the floor for them to sit on.
iheartshoes	One year we set up tipis and made indian feather headbands...it was so much fun!
tnmom	We put on a Thanksgtiving Play. I was an Indian. then we had Thanksgiving dinner!
rainout	i think my kids had to bring some kind of "authentic" early Thanksgiving food or something. Personally I can't remember that far back! :)
bossmayfield	I used to do the finger paint hand turkey. The thumb was the head and all the fingers were feathers.
alissasmommy	One year we made homemade butter by "churning" heavy cream and salt in a mason jar (you shake until the solids separate from the whey). Then we ate it on fresh bakery bread and talked about how pilgrims had to make things and couldn't buy them at the store. I think I was in the 1st or second grade.
alissasmommy	It made me thankful I didn't have to grow and make my own food :)
trishie	Made up Thanksgiving songs to the tunes of Christmas songs. My nephew's K class this year is having a thanksgiving snack time. They aren't allowed to have parties, so the parents are sending things for snack. I know that they are planning to have the individual pecan pies, but I'm not sure about the other foods.

lydiasmother	We all dressed at pilgrims and indians for our thanksgiving feast and i was an indian(i think this was kindergarten or 1st grade) and we took a paper plate folded it in half and put seeds in it, I think the teacher used like pumpkin or something seeds and stapled it together and then we decorated it and we shook it, i remember the sound like it was yesterday it was like a empanada shape or a closed taco if that makes sense.

This is such a sad story. A mother of a teenage girl created a myspace blog to harass her daughters former friend. The girl ended up committing suicide. Click on the link below to find out the whole story.

Don't assume just because we are on pleonast or because most of us are Christians you or your children are excluded from internet bullies.

I have witnessed internet bullying on pleonast with one of my loved ones with a supposed friend of theirs....but she arose above the many hurtful words and what some call "silly little wounds".

alissasmommy	I found this on the link you put on my page. I guess this might be the ruins you had read about. "From Bruce's time, the family headquarters had been the great castle at Innischonnell on Loch Awe, and remained so until the 1400's when Sir Duncan Campbell (great grandson of Sir Colin) moved to to Inveraray. He was created Lord Campbell and thereafter a steady string of titles were awarded to the family. His grandson was created Earl of Argyll in 1457."
mamamia	And I agree with Julie ... but kids learn to bully from somewhere, and much of the time it is at home. Just like in the case of the girl that committed suicide ... it was an adult, the parent of another girl, that was doing the bullying. The loved one that Lara talks about has in fact been bullied as much, if not more, by adults.
alissasmommy	Basicaly, the Burns family is a "sept" of the Campbell Clan, meaning thay they were tied to the family loosly. Here is a link that explains the conection. t is probably not that stong of a connection, but a fun one none the less. Burns Sept
alissasmommy	But in Josh's case, since he actually has the last name Campbell somewhere along the line he is a direct decendent of the Campbell clan. It might be intresting to follow all of the links back someday, but it takes ALOT of time. That is what my Papa did for fun, but it is tedious work looking through census and death/birth records.

granny	Hello Laura. Thank you for being a friend to Amy and David. When my nephew told me he/they were off to G, I knew it would be an ongoing challenge for Amy. David would get his constant validation and joy from the preaching/teaching, but it is the wife/mother who has to battle with another culture and blend into a new way of life on an hourly basis. I know.... The first year is toughest, a grieving while rejoicing in the opportunities -- it creates such a rollercoaster.
mec	I live in St. Charles County in Mo. Dardenne Prairie is right next to us. It is very sad what happen and our hearts go out to the Meier Family. One precious life taken and many lives ruined because of words. Remember to love your neighbor as yourself with love and kindness as the Lord commands us.
