kind of a bummer...but we are getting it all worked out!! your boys are so cute!! you have a wonderful family! kids, parents, husband, cousins, etc.!! its always nice to get to visit with you all- we will keep you in our prayers as you make your move! i know this will be a good thing for you guys!
noah hates to eat baby food. he really needs it or i wouldn't press the issue- but i do and he hates it. and it's not super fun for me either. first, there is gauntlet of waving arms- they knock the spoon away, or just prevent entry. then the impenetrable fortress of the mouth... if i make it past that... he spits it back out. then the arms turn into fists that smear that food everywhere. *sigh*
when am i going to get a kid that likes to eat???
we had a great day today, we had a friend come to play! luke and his little partnerin crime pulled every book he owns off the shelf and every puzzle apart (of course, it was mostly just luke, she's only guilty by association) just in time for the realtor to come by to take pictures! ack. so, hopefully there is someone out there who wants to buy a place that would be good to strew toys all over. it was so good for luke to have a buddy over, he needs to interact with someone besides me. she followed him everywhere and copied all the things he did... and she loved noah so much that she tried to sit on his back and ride him like a pony. i wish i had taken a picture of that, instead of being such a wet blanket. ;)
our day numerically:
1 mom, 2 episodes of bob the builder, 3 babies, 4 dirty shoes, 5 naps, 7 dirty diapers, 8 readings of curious george, 9 hours of non stop fun, and ten lords a leaping. :) fa la la la la la la la
not much else to report, looking forward to being home for the holidays... can't wait to see my family and be fed by them! after that... life is going to get very hectic!
why does Noah need the food? That's a very cute picture of him. Ah, the dumping of books- such a fun game! Clearly bookshelves only make sense to adults. =o) Any luck on finding rental houses?
you'd feel better about your house if you came over to ours. i think kids are the reason you grow up and actually WANT to clean house. i daydream abuot cleaning the house... sigh
We've been enjoying ourselves during this, our week of winter weather, with lots of fun indoor activities.
there's luke intently conducting the transit on the flip-track-mountain. "caaaaaaars, areyou? ereis." "woowoo"
here's noah, walking like a big boy! he loves this thing, and he can actually get around in it pretty well. i don't know if by accident or not, but whatever. he's happy! the tray is usually full of drool when i get him out. :) yum.
and here's a little hobby i've been working on the past couple of days. it's supposed to be a monochromatic but things got a little sloppy around the middle- but i'm still really excited. i plan on adding a border or two before i quilt, but it will probably only end up being the size of a couch throw. some day i'll make a bedspread sized quilt. that will be great.
jake, sorry i didn't take a picture of you this week! love you anyways! :)
Oooh...I love quilting (but haven't had time for any of that in a while...)--great job! On the yoga tapes, I can't say that I fully recommend the series I have for modesty reasons. Now I know the routines well enough that I do not even look at the screen (I've thought of hanging something in front of the tv while using them and just hearing the sound LOL). Anyway, they are the Brian Kest Power Yoga series, and other than the modesty issue, I love them. I also have the LivingArts Yoga Conditioning for Weight Loss with Suzanne Deason, and it is good for beginners and is better on the modesty issue, but is not nearly as good a workout as you progress. I use it to mix in a "light" day once a week or so. HTH
Speaking of drool, when one of our nameless boys was in a Johnny Jump Up, he would drool on the floor (which I must not have cleaned very well) and make a puddle of mud!
it rained all night, just to throw a wrench in my get up and take a walk first thing after breakfast plans. but i won't be thwarted, we'll take a walk first thing after naps. don't see the thw cluster very often, but there it is.
all is well here in the hudgins home- noah has two teeth now, and he's taking it like a champ! he still mainly just wants to smile at someone, eat, or go to bed. when we picked his name, i did not expect to feel so compelled to call him by nicknames. i dont' know why, i don't call luke by any nicknames, but poor noah is bibby, baby, no-man, noie nono, mr. noah (to the tune of the bible class song by the same name), and most frequently... baby no-no. obviously, these are just slips of the tongue in my sugary sweet talk rants. being a mommy means lots of silliness.
luke is doing great too, we've had a fun day so far, he and i played in his room for hours this morning... just reading books and playing with his lego train. woo woo. he learns, or at least tries to say- new words every day. this morning he's been saying "sayaa MUCH" which appears to be thank you very much. emphasis on much.
our old camera bit the dust, so i just got a new one the other day. it's way cooler, so i'll need to get that out and start taking more pictures... lately my pictures of luke have just been big blury eyes and foreheads... since every time i try to take a picture he runs toward me saying CHEEEEEESE!
but that's all for now. i've been playing lots of sudoku, looking for rent houses, trying to sell more stuff on ebay, and even dusted off the old pilates tape. so. lots going on!
well, thanksgiving was rough on luke. let us never speak of it again. although i am glad we got to see our family!
after a discouraging week of holiday fun, i woke up this morning completely refreshed and ready to "mom", in the verb sense. luke is happy as a clam this morning, and he and i went to buy the groceries together while daddy stayed at home with noah. it was nice to have a little mommy-luke time. he said hi to just about everyone in the store, and elicited a lot of unintelligible responses. love you, east texas!
also, i just bought the david archuletta cd from walmart, and although the songs may not be my particular cup of tea, it doesn't matter to me! sing me the phone book, david archuletta! and it makes me eager for American idol, season 43, or whatever we're on now.
i sold some stuff on ebay recently, so i need to get things shipped off.. but i'm so excited! just a few little things i had lying around the house earned me about 50 bucks! whoop.
um, what else. we're going to start looking for a place in garland/richardson/whatever... soon... LOTS of work to do for that... 3 months sounds like a lot of time, but not when i consider all the things that need to be done before we can do it! *head explode*
good job on the ebay! I love selling stuff! We lost doc today- it is a sad day. He's got to be here somewhere, but J is really missing him. I hope I find him soon...=o)
