Does anyone know anyone that lives in the DC area that...
~may need a roommate come the new year?
~may have a room for rent?
Or
~might not mind if a single, respectful, nice, Christian female (who'd be willing to split costs) crashed at their pad for a bit till she found a place of her own?
"For the times they are a-changin"
Nothing is set in stone yet but once the ball starts rolling I think it'll roll pretty fast.
posting a want add on craigslist works great. describe what you're looking for and set your price. people will contact you and you can pick the best option. that's how i found a place out here and it worked out great
HEHE, love the Ferris line. We use that one quite a bit around here. ;-)
Don't think I know any Christians in DC area. Have a REALLY nice girlfriend who lives down in VA, but I'm not sure if it's close enough to DC. She is my oldest (living) friend from grade school. I'll double check where she lives in proximity to DC and ask if she is interested (if she's close enough).
Both my friend and another friend of hers are possible options. Let me know if you want me to give you my friend's email information, etc. (They're not right in DC, though. My friend's friend is apparently the closer of the two.)
You got a puppy?! What kind? I've only been up for an hour...but so far I smiled that I still had some hot apple cider left, after panicking that I had run out! :)
i was so shocked when your dad made the announcement! but i am so jealous that you will get to work with a new congregation that is earnestly wanting to learn. can i come visit you!?
It made me smile this morning when I was feeding Ava breakfast and she stopped and started hugging and kissing my belly and saying, "Aww, Enan!"--aka "Evan"! :) So sweet! And I didn't know you had decided to move to NY with your peeps!
Thanks for the encouragement, Lauren. Hope everything's going well for you. I'm glad that things seem clearer for you in your life...hope I can say the same very soon!
So as I clicked just "one more time" while browsing this evening I came across this startling reality.
Is it life altering? No.
Will any of you care or know what I'm talking about? Perhaps not.
Do I still feel compelled to send this information out to be heard so that I feel better? Yes.
While watching the beloved show, Project Runway, viewers are led to believe that only 3 (sometimes 4) of the original designers are allowed to present @ NY's fashion week, the reality is that 6 of the designers are allowed to show. That's a BIG difference. I could go into how much of a difference that is... but if you watch the show you'll understand how crazy that is and if you don't watch the show the details will only bore you.
So I shall leave it at that and retire for the evening.
i'm a little behind. here is my comment for the last post: I love pushing daisies! its a great show! the colors and scenery are so surreal and brilliant that the characters are even more entertaining! i love that little world.
If you haven't caught an episode you should rethink what you've been doing with your time. Thankfully I was enlighted... I owe you one!
I'm not sure I can sum up the greatness.
Be it the quirky characters or the retro costumes or the vibrant set or the witty banter or the awesome narrator (who is also the narrator of the "Harry Potter" books on tape or so I've been told) or the beautiful golden retriever named Digby; the show does not disappoint, folks! In short... I watched the first 3 episodes and fell in love (or something like it).
I think I knew I was hooked when this analogy was presented:
"[A hug is] like an emotional Heimlich. Someone puts their arms around you and they give you a squeeze and all your fear and anxiety come shooting out of your mouth in a big wet wad and you can breath again."
Ah, this is seriously one of my most FAVORITE shows. It is so whimsical. It makes me think of Randi Roberts and the way she called everything romantic. This show is romantic.
I was wondering if it was any good...I think you can also watch it online on abc.com (is it ABC? I forget..whichever site Lost is on..) Anyway...now that you've recommended it, I'll have to check it out! :)
