I'll be honest it feels a little surreal cause I don't really feel like I'm 24- cause I remember so many things that were forever ago that feel like they were yesterday. I guess everyone probably feels like that sometimes. haha.
Anyway, my mom is coming down today! :) I only have to work a 1/2 day so I'll get to hang out with her! YAYYY!!!
Thank you all so so much for being apart of my life and making it better than I deserve. I'm so thankful to God for blessing me with another year of life and with so many wonderful and caring people!!!
I just wanted to ask all of you to please keep my friends Greg and Nicole Brasher in your prayers. I went to high school with both of them and grew up with Greg. I haven't seen them in a while, but we keep in touch with one another some. In September Nicole gave birth to twin boys, Nicholas and Xander. They were 3 months premature and have had a hard hard road. Nicholas was able to come home right before Thanksgiving and has really improved and is doing great, but little Xander was having a lot of problems and had not been able to come home. I just found out tonight that Greg and Nicole made probably the hardest decision they have ever had to make and took little Xander off of life support and he passed away around 2 pm yesterday afternoon. Reading what she wrote about it absolutely broke my heart. I cannot begin to imagine what she and Greg are going through right now. Please keep them in your prayers- I know they have some hard days ahead of them and are definitely going to need prayers.
Thank you so much,
Erica

2009 is HERE! I know that at the beginning of every year I think the same thing- this is gonna be a long year…sometimes you think you’ll never get to the end. I know for me I think: FALL IS SO FAR AWAY!!! (Fall being my favorite time of year because of FOOTBALL)...the beginning of the new year is end of football season and 9 months to wait for it to start again. Then I think how incredibly fast it goes by and how quickly September will get here and another new year will get here...Sometimes I think I take forgranted the time I have here on the earth. I’m sure we all do- but one of my NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS is going to be to cherish moments with my family and friends more...so here it goes...my new years resolutions...
1. CHERISH my time here on this earth and by that I mean: Cherish my faith more, Cherish my FAMILY AND FRIENDS more and realize that our time on earth here is short. God is blessing me with time here and even though this world is not my home- I’m thankful for what God has so abundantly blessed me with and I need to show him that I don’t take it forgranted.
2. Work harder on my relationship with GOD and be more involved with Church!! This is obviously my number 1 goal for life and I challenge myself at the beginning of every year to be a better Christian. This is definitely not something we ever need to stop working at.
3. Spend more time with my family. I don’t spend nearly enough time with my family. I work so much and as important obviously as that is...it’s starting to take precedence over the things most important in my life…like my family.
4. Be a better friend!!!!! We can always be better friends!!!!
5. Finish paying my car off!!! (it will be paid off in July…and I CANNOT WAIT!)
6. Save money to pay off debt...I would LOVE to almost be out of debt by the end of the year. I know I won’t be out of debt, but to be half-way there would be a miracle.
7. Get into better shape!!! I need to learn to get the weight off and get in shape and then keep the weight off and stay in shape. I’m SO bad at it. I’ll lose weight and then 2 months later gain it all back...it’s shear laziness.
8. I want to cook more. If I ever want to get married one day I need to learn to be a better cook. I’m not bad at it...I just don’t do it enough. I want to be able to throw an amazing meal together like my Mom and Aunt can!! They always fix delicious goodness. Of course they had an AUsome teacher because my grandmother was hands down the best cook EVER!!! :)
9. Be a better daughter and sister!!!!!!
So I know I probably have MANY more resolutions, but I’m pretty sure I’m gonna have my work cut out for me with those.
I spent NEW YEARS EVE with Kelly, Mallory and my brother Ryan. We didn’t do much- VERY low key. We just played Rock Band and ate Ice Cream. I was asleep by like 12:45. I guess that’s what happens when you’re stuck in a college town and practically no one is in town.
Yesterday was a lot of fun!!!! I spent the majority of my day with the Roberts which is always fun. They had food and we watched football and just sat around and talked! I got plenty of love from Jesse, Andy, Suzanna and Sarabeth! Always a good way to start off the year!!!
Today I’m back at work, having lunch with Katie, Ash and Ella before they leave to go back to Oregon, and then babysitting the Roberts kids tonight!
Tomorrow I have to work at the Marriott in the morning and I’m babysitting tomorrow night for Maddox and Macoy!!
Sounds like a fun weekend huh!? :)
A lot of people will start coming back to Auburn this weekend which I’m SO thankful for. I’ve had enough of living by myself. I’m ready for my roommates to come home. Rach should be back sometime this weekend and then Amber and Megan will be back next Tuesday!
...Speaking of Tuesday...my 24th birthday is in 4 days.
Next week should be fun, but pretty busy too...I have to work all week and then Saturday is mine, Amber and Megan’s birthday party! Hopefully we’ll have some fun. I think we will!!! :)
Hope everyone had a great NEW YEAR! And hopefully we’ll all stick to our resolutions!
*pray*

--Also, I started a new blog, feel free to check it out. It's pretty much the same thing as here, but I have some high school friends and other people that I'm keeping up with on there.

*HAPPY THOUGHTS*
-a new year, with new beginnings.
-spending time with my "family" for New Years Day!
-knowing that I have so many amazing people in my life that honestly care about me.
-seeing friends!!! :)
-God blessing me with another year!!!!!
"Sing the wonderous love of Jesus, sing his mercy and his grace. In the mansions, bright and blessed, he'll prepare for us a place. When we all get to Heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be. When we all see Jesus, we'll sing and shout the victory!" (thanks Erin) :)
I just wanted to thank you all on behalf of my family for the prayers that have been offered for us. My dad just called me and told me that my grandfather passed away just a little bit ago. Today was his 81st birthday. Again, I appreciate so much the thoughts and prayers being offered on behalf of my family. Ryan, Bradley and I will be heading back to Birmingham within the next couple of days for the funeral so please pray for our safe journey there and back.
