"To laugh is to risk appearing the fool.
To weep is to risk appearing sentimental.
To reach out for another is to risk involvement.
To expose feelings is to risk exposing our true self.
To place your ideas, your dreams, before the coward is to risk loss.
To love is to risk not being loved in return.
To live is to risk dying.
To hope is to risk despair.
To try at all is to risk failure.
But risk we must, because the greatest hazard in life is to risk NOTHING.
The man, the woman, who risks NOTHING, does NOTHING, has NOTHING, is NOTHING."

This has been a really busy month for me. The recipe swap was great as was the other two parties we had. My living room is bare now that the tables and chairs are gone.
Two weeks ago, my mom slipped on black ice and after patiently waiting, we sought another doctors opinion. (my cousin) He ordered an MRI and found that she had a compression fracture on her 6th or 7th vertabrae as well as the para esophageal hernia. He said that it was very rare to have a compression fracture on the 6th or 7th vertabrae. My mom has been terribly uncomfortable. Now we are waiting to make an appointment for the spine doctor that Rick recommended. My mom is a very active person and the "non activity" really bothers her. It has been difficult as we "encourage" her to bedrest.
I hosted the family party her last Monday night so she wouldn't feel the need to do it at her house.
Thursday, we took lunch to Emily and Brandon's and spent a little while with them. It was short and sweet.
Tomorrow, my SIL and I are cooking a big lunch to take over and eat with my parents so we can cater and clean up the mess. I have cooked til I am getting tired of cooking. LOL
I started taking down all the holiday decorations yesterday. They sure come down a lot faster than they go up!
This Tuesday, my family leaves for Disney World. I hate to go because my dad can really use my help. We have had this planned for at least 6 months and it is mostly paid for. I will go and enjoy myself, knowing there will be work for me when I get home.
